Dr. B. Jagadish is a purpose-driven HR and learning leader with over 25 years of professional experience, including two decades at Toyota Kirloskar Motor. As General Manager of Toyota India Center of Excellence - Toyota University - he has architected a multi-tier lifelong learning ecosystem aligned with the Toyota Way 2020, Skill India Mission, Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Viksit Bharat 2047, and UN Sustainable Development Goals 4 and 8.
A Ph.D. from the University of Mysore (2013) and a Doctor of Letters - the highest degree awarded in the Social Sciences - from Tumkur University (2023), he is also a Certified Master Trainer under Toyota Motor Corporation, Japan, and has personally trained more than 25,000 individuals across India, the Middle East, and Asia.
His work sits deliberately between two traditions: the operational discipline of Toyota's philosophy and the social-work lens of dignity, inclusion, and rural upliftment - a synthesis he calls Omotenashi Leadership, leading with humility, empathy, and foresight.

As Principal of the Toyota Technical Training Institute, developed 100+ Industrial Training Institutes and established the New Age Skills Academy — producing 1,400+ graduates with a 100% employment rate, 8 medals at WorldSkills, and a National Topper honoured by the Prime Minister of India.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Initiated gender diversity programs that opened manufacturing careers to women at scale, raising participation from 2% in 2022 to 8% in 2024 and bringing over 1,000 women into the workforce.

Signed an MoU with Samagra Shikshana Karnataka spanning seven districts to bring automobile labs into schools, benefiting more than 800 students.
